ITINERARY
Molines Valley & St Véran (The highest village in Europe !)
Starting this E-MOUNTAIN BIKE COURSE with a skills review to establish your needs and level. (Believe us there is always something to learn!) We head to an easily accessible area to look at some essential techniques (Riding position, controlled braking and bike handling). After a well-earned break and a picnic lunch, we set off to discover the Molines Valley and Saint Veran on a trail perfectly adapted to your level. A great day to warm up your legs and blow the cobwebs away!
Souliers Valley, Rochebrune pic overview & Lake “Roue”
A similar plan for most of the morning: reviewing the techniques learnt the previous day and putting these into practice out on the trail. Focusing on the essentials so that you will be less apprehensive about the idea of riding at a higher altitude. Working on trajectories throughout this second morning. The impressive Château Queyras Fort overlooks us for most of the day. After lunch we hit the the trail to Lac de Roue then continue into the hidden Souliers valley. Come on… Let’s go !
Ceillac “paradise Valley”
Now that you have started to master your new biking techniques we can take you to the Ceillac Pump Track to look a little more your coordination …essential when you are pedalling on uneven trails. How you can harness this skill to move your bike forward without pedalling. It is exhausting, so whilst you’re getting your breath back we can start working on your bunny-hops !
Another well-deserved break and then off to the Ceillac Valley, an amazing place for an e-mountain bike ride. Passing in front of the Font Sancte mountain, the imposing Queyras summits, turbulent torrents and villages trapped in time… all of this reminding us of what’s so great about the Queyras.
Mountain pastures and panoramas of Queyras…
To round up our E-MOUNTAIN BIKE COURSE, we use this last session to review our bike skills and to recap on everything that we have worked on over the past few days. We will try to head a little higher up the hill to ride through the beautiful alpine pastures and take in the impressive views back along the return trail. Your riding technique should have improved … maybe enough for your guide to take you on a few winding single tracks to finish off the week ???!
You are someone that wants to have an active holiday, perhaps to get back into shape. You have limited mountain biking experience but you would like to improve. The tour is ideal for families. You have no real knowledge of mountain biking techniques…quite the opposite! You would also like to discover the local surroundings and its heritage. The instructor aims to help you progress throughout the week and will take you on trails that are suitable for your level.
