If you are reading this document it’s probably because you are getting ready to go on an e-MTB tour which is going to turn you into a fan of the Southern Alps, the Queyras, the Maira Valley and the Stura Valley! All of these places ….on this one trip!
Departing from the du Col de l’Izoard – Arriving at the Col de Larche.
A backcountry paradise with stunning landscapes, we skirt along the Italian foothills of the Ubaye, surrounded by vertiginously high mountains and small villages perched on the hillsides.
Some incredible biking, perfect Enduro All Mountain lines that you can take your time over thanks to our logistical support which follows us for the whole of the trip. From the start to the end of this tour we guide you to the best areas to EMTB along thé route. You will be riding off the beaten track on a variety of different trails all along this MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE

ITINERARY
The mystical Izoard
We start this EMTB MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE heading straight to the goal; after all you are here to enjoy yourself and todays ride is a real feast for the eyes.
A first day which will set the tone for the rest of the week, limestone landscapes, high altitude alpine pastures, fast straight lines and winding switchbacks, something for everyone!
Overnight stop in a gite in the Queyras or in the Varaita Valley
Up & Down in the High Maira Valley
A short drive to Pelvo d’Elva in the Maira Valley. A coffee stop in the village and then we are off on our first sweet descent riding through pretty flowery villages (sooo romantic!) This trail is a fast one and it needs to be as there is another solid afternoon of riding waiting for us on the other side of the hill…!

Conquering Mount Bellino
I know this is an Enduro tour, so why is there so much uphill….because you can use you e-MTB to get you up to the top AND its so worth it for the 1600 metres of downhill bliss which is waiting for you….

Degringolade in the Stura Valley
Starting at the Gardetta Plateau it just doesn’t stop … an incredible ride across the plateau, a quick coffee in a mountain refuge to prepare for the amazing descent back to the hotel. 1500 metres of downhill pleasure that just gets better and better!

A little ride before we leave!
We can’t leave before we have one last ride up to the Neireissa Pass …to work off last night meal at ‘Chez Bartholo’! A short drive back to Vinadio, some more MTBing for the rest of the morning before heading back to Guillestre after lunch
An advanced to expert level of MTB is required for this tour
You should able to ride switchbacks, control your braking and have experience of riding on single tracks. You should master all MTB skills and be able to handle all types of terrain. If you have any doubt about your ability please contact us so we can advise you on the best tour for you.
Average ascent / descent = 1200 m minimum / day (Sometimes more like 1700m)
Distance / Day = 40 to 60 km per day

Pistes suitable for a motor vehicle = 30 % (Accessible for everyone, ascents and descents, sometimes at altitude)
Playful fun paths = 30% (Suitable for proficient riders. No real dangers)
Technical paths = 40 % (Often narrow or rocky, a knowledge of basic biking techniques is required)a
Transfer by 9 seater minibus with a bike trailer to the departure points.

Repairs stand and spare parts for any eventual repairs
The accommodation provided has been chosen for their outstanding hospitality, quality of food and ability to cater to groups of cyclists. (Secure area for bike storage, repairs zone and bike wash…) We will let you know further details of the accommodation when we receive your enrolment dossier
Most of the accommodation for our tours are in gites or shared rooms and include full board. (The picnics are provided by the gite or Guil e bike staff). We also provide a snack, however, we recommend that you bring your own additional refreshments so that you can sample a few of the delicious local specialities…
