"In 2014with the support of Europe, the city of Guillestre was the a national pioneer in electric bicycle eco-mobility. At the time, GUIL-EBIKE was in charge of managing 25 VAEs intended for utilitarian use. Today, bicycles have evolved, bicycle mobility has grown and we were keen to relaunch this citizen project on a larger territory, with the support of a LEADER programme and the Pôle d'Equilibre Territorial et Rural du Grand Brianconnais" in order to provide users with an adapted, professional, flexible and economically advantageous service".

RECURRING QUESTIONS
Safety first!
It is not compulsory but strongly recommended.
For those who do not have a helmet, GUIL-EBIKE can rent you a helmet for the duration of your contract
It is a citizen programme. We have chosen not to enter into a mercantile approach in order to give users the lowest possible rates. We therefore ask users to ensure that the bicycle is well maintained on a daily basis during the entire rental period
However, we are well aware of what is involved in daily use and we take into account the "normal" wear and tear of the bike. By normal wear and tear we mean brake pads, a cable or chain change, small scratches, chain or tyre wear, etc. detailed list of the repairs to be carried out by GUIL-EBIKE is given to you when you sign the contract
The greater damagedue to a inappropriate use of the bike (ripped handles, torn saddle, damaged frame, broken lights...) remain at the user's expense. A list will also be provided to you after a precise inventory of the situation with our team of mechanics.
The bike is supplied to you in perfect working order, but it is possible that some of the peripherals may go wrong with daily use. Our mechanic will therefore give you some advice on how to check your bike so that you can ride safely.
If you get a flat tyre, don't panic, you have an under-saddle containing :
- A patch kit (glue, patch, scraper)
- a tyre changer
- An inner tube
- A multi-tool
- A mini hand pump
Any item that is consumed, lost or damaged must be replaced or will be charged to the user at the time of return

If necessary, we will ask users to return to their home country.take the bike to the workshop for a thorough assessment and a quick repair. GUIL-EBIKE cannot ensure the repatriation of your bike, but we will do our best to find a solution that facilitates the takeover.
Every 250 kms or every two months, a complete revision is included in your contract
It includes brake and transmission adjustments, tyre checks and headset checks.
Diagnostics can be carried out at the time of the overhaul to update the electronic system
Consumables and spare parts that need to be changed due to damage caused by improper use of the bicycle are to be paid for by the user, upon presentation of an estimate and acceptance of the estimate.
It all depends on the use that you ride your bike and the regular maintenance that you dedicate to the bike but it is certain that a good maintenance and insufficient cleaning may damage the transmissionEspecially if you drive in winter with salt on the road. Our team of mechanics is able to detect if the wear is due to normal wear
We give you the choice to save on this point by carrying out a thorough one-off maintenance of the bike yourself (ask the mechanic for advice when you collect the bike).
If you don't want to worry about it, you can add a premium revision including a complete cleaning of the bike at the time of registration at a cost of 40 euros.
As part of the programme, the bike takes priority in our workshop to avoid too much downtime. However, if the repair requires a downtime of more than 7 days, you have 2 options:
- Repayment of your monthly rent pro-rata the number of days the bike will not be used and according to your contract (Deduction of a 7 day excess)
- We offer you a replacement bike subject to availability
Yes, only if GUIL-EBIKE is able to start the bike again in the same time after revising it
If this is not the case, you will have to pay the balance of the contract
This long-term rental offer does not include a purchase option at the end of the contract
Under the terms of the agreement with PETR, our bicycles are not transferable for a period of 3 years. They can then be resold as refurbished second-hand bicycles, at a price corresponding to the second-hand market price, taking into account their general condition.
